BE SAFE WITH DOGS!

Follow these simple rules, and you can have fun with dogs and stay safe.

1. Always ask permission before stroking a strange dog.

2. Never touch a dog while it is eating.

3. Always wash your hands after stroking a dog.

4. If a dog growls at you, do not run away. Stand still and call for help. If no one is around, walk slowly and quietly away from the dog.

5. Never touch a dog if it is hurt or ill.

6. Never walk a dog on your own.

7. Never feed a dog without its owner’s permission.

8. Don’t disturb a dog when it is asleep.

9. Don’t stare into a dog’s eyes.
