Referral Services – Veterinary MRI
As the first veterinary practice in the South West to invest in dedicated, on-site, veterinary MRI facilities in 2005, the Downs Veterinary Practice has gained a reputation as one of the most experienced providers of advanced diagnostics in the region. MR-scan acquisitions are directly supervised by experienced referral clinicians, to minimize scanning (anaesthetic) times for the patient and produce optimal results for the client without delay.
Most importantly, we also have experienced neurosurgeons available 24/7 to provide emergency decompressive/ stabilization procedures where necessary. In addition, our in-house facility allows us to extend a cost-effective screening program (from £192inc. per dog) – run by Dr Clare Rusbridge – for syringomyelia in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and other affected breeds.
Aside from neurology, our advanced diagnostics capability is allied to a close-knit clinical team, used to dealing with a broad range of non-routine orthopaedic, soft tissue and medical cases – giving your clients the assurance they need when their pets require expert, efficient and compassionate care.
